
In order to protect our respective interests, it is necessary for both parties to sign the application form produced jointly by the Worldwide Electronic Bible and Book Service (WEBBS) and Bible for the Future (BFTF).

The Bible for the Future Archive will ensure that access to your data is governed by the access conditions specified by you in the Deposit Agreement.
In addition, we will require any permitted users to agree not to breach your copyright by selling all or part of the data, or including it in a product which is subsequently sold. We will also require such users to acknowledge you when publishing anything based upon the data, and to say that you are not responsible for the quality of the work they have produced. Users will also be asked to agree not to attempt to identify any of the original translators, where this is relevant.
The Deposit Agreement asks you for assurances that you are entitled to place the data collection in the Archive.
The Bible for the Future Archive will follow your chosen conditions of access, as stated in the Project Identification Sheet.
No, the Deposit Agreement does not require you to guarantee accuracy in the data, nor to take any responsibility for any subsequent analysis of the data collection.
It should be signed by the owner of the data collection or, in the case of institutions or organisations, it should be signed by a person authorised by that institution or organisation to sign such agreements.
No. You only need to sign the Deposit Agreement once. This Deposit Agreement will apply to all materials that you submit to us. However, we do require a separate Project Identification Sheet for every data submission, so that we can identify everything clearly.
No, the Deposit Agreement makes sure that you retain ownership in the data collection and can continue to use it in any way you choose.
No, you remain free to enter into other agreements for distribution or to develop distribution mechanisms yourself. However, deposit with the Bible for the Future Archive relieves you of the administrative and technical burdens associated with requests for copies of the data.
Yes, the Archive keeps records of who is using each data collection. If you wish to see these records, you may ask for a report detailing usage.
WEBBS BFTF Application Form
Wycliffe Associates UK is a voluntary organisation which provides a free service for creating and archiving electronic copies of Scripture and other Christian literature and resources. The electronic file creation process is carried out under the title of our WEBBS service, whilst the archive is called the "Bible for the Future Archive".
